Tackle Auction Tuesday 7 April 2015

Post by Tony Ong » Wed Feb 25, 2015 10:02 am

Hi all
April's meeting is a tackle auction.
This is a good opportunity for members to clear out some gear that they no longer need. There are always great bargains on the night. For example, last year, there was an Orvis T3 8wt that sold for around $200.00, and an Abel Super 10 fish graphic that sold for around $300.00. Lots of more affordable gear as well, for those just getting into fly fishing.
This night is open to everyone. Feel free to invite any friends that you feel would be interested in attending. This is a fun night, and it's always interesting to attend, if it's just for the antics of the auctioneer.
The tackle auction is a fund raiser for the club. 10% of the sale will go towards the club. Please take this into account when you set your reserves.
If you have any big ticket items, please post up here, so others are aware that these items will be up for sale. For smaller dollar value items, please bundle them together to help us keep moving on the night.
Hope to see you there.

Hi guys,
Anyone selling a 9wt rod at the auction? Broke my 9wt TCR a couple of weeks ago so might be in the market for a rod at the auction.

Just a reminder that this month's meeting is a tackle auction. If you have gear to sell, I'll be at the hall a little earlier to tag items. 10% of the sale goes towards the club, so if you are going to set a reserve, please take this into consideration. If you have lots of little/small value items, please try and group them together so we can speed through the night. We ask that you try and keep to items that are fishing related.
Make sure that you bring plenty of money along, as there are always good bargains to be found on the night.
For those that are heading up to Boneheads, Gavin has asked if you could be present 7.00pm for any questions/queries/last minute changes, etc.
