Hi everyone
The first field day for the new 2015 season is upon us. It will take place on Sunday the 7th of December 2014. The starting time is at 7:30am at Point Resolution and we'll meet up under the Narrows bridge at 4:30pm.
The classic saltwater fly challenge:
* Only the following patterns may be used: Clouser, Charlie, Deceiver and Gurgler.
* Flies need to be tied with natural materials or natural fibres and can be dyed any colour. The only synthetic material allowed is flash (Krystal, Flashabou, Midge flash, SparkleFlash, ect), foam (for the Gurgler) and eyes (dumbbell, bead-chain, stick on eyes, etc). 70-80% of the fly needs to be tied with natural materials/fibres.
* Any size hook may be used.
* Any type of tying thread my be used.
* Most species caught on each fly pattern.
* Largest fish caught on each individual fly.
The Boundaries for Swan and Canning rivers:
* Upstream from the railway bridge in Fremantle in the Swan River.
* Downstream from Reid Highway in the Swan River.
* Downstream from Roe Highway in the Canning River
