We spent a family weekend away in Warnbro this weekend. I didn’t think there’d be much land based flyfishing down there but as it turns out, I’m glad I took the 5wt along. I think I hit a pretty lucky fluke with quite a few herring, school whiting up to 30 cm, a tarwhine, a few bluespot flatties and some rubbish fish totalling 7 species excluding blowies.
I thought I’d put it on the forum and ask if anyone knows the area and be able to shed some light on how to fish it properly so that next time we can put a little more planning into a session down there.
