Hi guys.
The time has arrived for another field day !!

The field day will start at 00:01am on Saturday the 18th February and end 12:00 noon on Sunday the 19th February. The Sunday get together will be at the boat ramp at the Rest Point Holiday Village at 12.00 noon on Sunday. If we can make it short and sweet, we should be on the road for 1:00pm and home around 6'ish
Most of us will be staying at: Rest Point Holiday Village (http://restpoint.com.au/)
Rod setup:
- 5, 6 or 8 WT rods
- Floating line for fishing the flats, Intermediate line for the deeper channels.

Fly box selection:
The following flies have proven themselves in the past so this should be a good starting point.
- A selection Clousers and Crazy Charlies in Tan, Yellow, Orange, Root-beer, Gold, White in hook sizes 4 to 8. These will work well on the Herring, Tailor, Snapper, Flathead and Bream.
- A few poppers or Gurgler flies in hook sizes 2 to 6. Mainly for the Herring, Salmon and Tailor
- Disco Shrimps for the Whiting on the flats. http://saltwaterflyrodders.com.au/wp/?page_id=529
- Small Deceivers in White, Tan, Chartreuse and Olive for the Salmon, Tailor and Giant Herring. Hook sizes from 1/0 to 4
- Squimps in Tan, Root-beer, Brown or White for the Skippy, Snapper, Flathead and Bream. Hooks sizes from 2 to 8
Make sure you wear proper shoes when wading the flats. You will might find some broken glass and Rays on the flats.
