Very possible to get bones at this time of the year. Problem is, you'll have to try very hard not to cast at everything else that's swimming past. I'm usually not that patient, hence, I've never caught an Exmouth bone. :(
Generic search patterns if you're shore based. You can't go wrong with clousers or squimps.
A stripping basket will be really handy. You'll find out why if you don't have one.
Fishing blind will let you cover lots of water. If you can spot fish, you're much better off actively targeting individual fish. Quality of your catch will be much better.
Good luck and let us know how you go.

Stephen,

It is pretty easy to get exsited when wandering and casting to fish but play the percentages and allow your fly to reach the bottom and work it as most fish are lower in the water column and looking down rather than up.
Unless its the likes of Queenies then work to there depth and teeze the buggars as they are excitable and responsive.
I'm sure that you will have a ball as there are many species that roam the flats.

Cheers with envy

Arnold
