Quite a few members have been asking about how to put loops on fly lines and backing to make changing lines easier. We'll run through various techniques of making loops.
Hirdy will be demonstrating some spey casting techniques with a indoor practice rod.
I've been experimenting with articulated poppers. I've finally settled with something that I'm happy with, and will be showing how to tie this popper.
The last field day was the Freshwater weekend. Nice weather saw a few members down for the weekend, however, I think the fishing was tough, but a few laughs were had on the night on the camp out. If we ply Doggie Day with enough alcohol, he may even recite ph's poem penned phor the weekend. Make sure you buy him a drink.

Also like to mention that November field day is Albany, and December field day is Blackwood. If you're planning to attend either of these weekends, please speak to Steve for Albany, and Brian for Blackwood, as they will be arranging some accommodation.
