The Alflexo Crab fly

Post by Stephen Bradbury » Fri Jun 23, 2017 8:31 pm

Hey guys, been messing around with this pattern for a few weeks. Always wanted to have a go at tying a 'Flexo tube' style crab to have in the arsenal after seeing a few online and in magazines. Found a decent tying recipe on the 'Feathers & Fluoro' site for the 'Alflexo sbs' (I think that's right?) tied by the guys at Alphonse for the Permit and Triggers they have there. For anyone who's had a go at trying to tie this type of fly the flexo tube can be very hard to work with (control), but the recipe had a couple of very good tips that really help. For those who want to tie some up I'm just finishing off a step by step recipe to put up on our website very soon. :)
