If i was fishing off the stones a 10 is better for salmon for more lifting power. And Ill be heading out off shore chasing kings,bonito salmon and tuna so I'm sure u will be out fishing with me some time

Rod Don't leave the 10 at home bring everything haha. even a 12 or 14 wt will get bent down here

The 5 wt will be most fun in the estuary 6-7 better for when the wind comes up. Get good at casting in the wind and its pretty windy place

Hi Adam. Thanks. Interesting points on what weight rods to use. Just hope I can get cold water lines in those weights here in SA, or perhaps I'll try eBay. Matt, would you confirm Adam's viewpoint?
