Casting Day Sunday 23 June 2013

Just a reminder that we have a casting day coming up in June.
Venue and time to be confirmed.
The idea is for everyone to bring along a few rods and reels. It's a good chance for everyone to try out something different to what they own. If we can manage to twist Rohan and Chris arm hard enough, they may bring along some rods from their stores.
If you need some help with casting tips, there's always a few handy casters who are more than happy get you back on the right tracks.
We'll probably organize some casting games to keep the day entertaining.

Confirming that the casting day will be held on Sunday 23 June 2013
Venue: Nedlands Rugby Club Grounds. River end of the Broadway, Nedlands.
Start time 10.00am till 2ish. We'll stay longer if anyone wishes to keep casting.

Just want to publicly thank the guys for organising this event. It was an excellent way to get a few casts of rods and lines I'm not likely to be able to buy. There was a deep mixture of line weights and rod sizes on display, from fibreglass to the latest graphite wonders, and 6'6" to 9' long rods, 4wt to 12wt.

It was also good to see a few newbies along for the day, getting lessons on casting and tips on buying.

It's events like this one that made me join the club in the first place. Well done.

Good to hear feedback Graeme. I resisted the urge to spend more money in Bluewater, so went fishing instead.
