Fished the Swan around Burswood this morning for a couple of hours, managed 5 black bream and my first tarwhine out the swan, two of them actually.
Nothing huge, biggest was 22cm but great fun on the 3wt. Speaking to an angler flipping plastics, they had managed a nice 34cm bream just a little further downstream earlier that morning.
Saw lots of bait around and schools of small bream in the shallows, so the fish are around

Nice work Gael,
I fished Sunday around maylands on the yak and picked up around ten or so... None were even close to legal but was stoked that there back on the chew.
Chartruese body BMS with a olive tail seemed to be the favourite, what flies are doing the damage for you?
Cheers mate

Ash,
I usually fish a small clouser style fly, craft fur wing with a couple strands of flash. The dark olive normally does the damage but I had changed to tan and brown wing as all my olive one's hooks had gone blunt.
Got this fish bouncing the fly of a some structure, managed to place the fly hard up against it and smashed the fly on the first strip.

Bream are a little tougher to target in the cooler months. As the weather heats up, so do the bream. Keep moving till you find fish. It's not uncommon to get 15 - 20 fish sessions when you find where the fish are holding up.

Always seem to catch Bream whilst targeting flatties- speaking of which is anyone getting out this weekend looking for a few early season lizards?
I'm considering a walk down the end of Pt Walter.
