Hi guys
Last night at the AGM some new members asked for help with regards to this months field day.
Fishing the Swan can be frustrating at times so I hope the hints provided will make it more enjoyable
--Flies--
Clousers:
* Sizes = 2 - 6
* Colours = white over white, yellow over white, olive over white, tan over white, chartruse over white. Some with flash and some without flash
Deceivers:
* Size = 1 - 4
* Colours = white over white, yellow over white, olive over white, tan over white.
Sufr Candy's:
* Size = 2 - 8
* Colours = tan, olive, yellow, white
Charlie's:
* Size = 4 -10
* Colours = yellow, olive, tan, white, brown
Squimps:
* Size = 2 - 6
* Colours = tan, olive, brown
Poppers:
* Size = 1 - 8
* Colours = white, tan, yellow
There are other flies you can use but these have proven themselfs in my fishing adventures.
--Locations--
This is a very delicate topic seeing as members spend hours on the water to find good fishing holes. So I will try not to step on any toes.
* Point Resolution - Bream and Flathead. Watch out for the bow waves from the passing boats!!
* Niergarup Reserve - Flathead and Flounder
* Sorrell Park - Flathead, Herring, Tailor, Tarwine and the odd Sambo
* Point Roe Park - Herring, Flathead, Flounder, Bream, Tailor, Cobbler
* Apex Park - Bream, Flathead, Tailor
That should get you started and show you what to look for.
Tight lines and tight loops
