Hi,

I'm heading to Broome in July and was wondering if anyone has had any success with catching milkfish and more specifically fly selection.

Thanks.

you got a good psychologist? and a shit load of patience!

troy sinclair told me to go target something easier like permit! that sums it up!

weed flies with a bit of foam to keep them floating! dubbed green BMS blends on Owner flyliner hooks size 8 or 10 ( I think) and if you can find them!

never done it! seen alot of pictures on the net.. jono shales from exmouthflyfishing has had a bit of success check out his flyfishing page on facebook!

good luck!

Stephen has summed it up pretty well.

In July you will find a school just on the edge of casting range on high tide on Redell Beach in front of the fuel tanks. I might as well tell you they are on the moon though as they are near impossible to catch that time of year!

Had a bit more luck during warmer months on dubbed red scum flies that look a bit shrimp. but I thing it was just luck

Good luck you will need it
