Guys,
Thanks to all for making it a good trip. Thanks to Clint for sharing the ride and the boat hire...Go the mighty Wood Duck !!
How was the fishing after Clint and I left?? Hope the weather improved and the fishing improved.
I had a very enjoyable time....learnt heaps and saw a few monster fish and hooked into a couple.
Tony/Steve/Delvin...Thanks again for your extremely generous support (i.e. hand held radio, fly lines, gerry can and advice)
Simon, Can I get my wire trace back from you pls at the next club meeting??

G'day Martin
We had some tough conditions this year with the winds. Fish wern't real co-operative as well. Sorry to hear that you guys had to cut your trip short. Fishing didn't really pick up the second half of the trip, but Arnold found bait balls in front of Bay of Rest. Mixed bag of fish smashing them in the afternoons. I'ld post some pics but don't know how. :P

Guys,

Had a great time this year, yeh bit windy but still got out every day and found more new places once again and some fish and it did seem to get better the second week with more bait and fish.
All fishing in the gulf down as far as the bottom end of Doole, a bit skinny there though but looks to be a good spot on the right tide.
Best of all no cyclones or Northerlies and any day fishing is better than working

Plan to do alot more this year.

Arnold

The wind was most unkind this trip. SW at 25 knots most days. I suppose it was better than northerlies. Top of the tide, the boys fishing for whiting in the gulf.

Came home with all equipment intact for a change but only managed to catch one flathead.
Those bloody GT's and Queenies kept snapping up my fly's before they could reach the bottom!
Very dissapointing.
