A big thank you to Ron for his great talk last night. Ron's insight into the finer details such as fish flash, body shape and how birds poop held a captive audience late into the night. And yes, some of his fishing companions are kinder on the eyes than others. :)
I'll post details of the AGM in a separate post.

Hi Tony,
What a wonderful surprise to be the very lucky winner of the box of flies you have tied? :o I couldn’t make it to the evening meeting or to the Sunday fishing, and in my absence my lucky number was drawn – something that never happens. :D I feel very privileged to have the flies and I am not sure if I will ever use them to fish with – maybe look at them and use them as examples of how saltwater flies SHOULD be tied.

Thank you very much for taking the time and materials to tie these flies for a special prize, I really appreciate it.

And now I just have to hope that my 2013 schedule will allow me more time in Perth to coincide with the clubs evening meetings and other activities – I would love to get more involved.

Kind regards

Sam

You're welcome Sam. You need to get some time between your work schedule and visit some of the northern parts of our state. It may look like a lot of flies, but I can assure you they don't last very long north of the 26 parallel. :)
