Pioneer recovery vehicle. Never trust what the fuel gauge says.

Mongolia is a spectacular country. Around every bend is another picture perfect postcard moment. I'll eventually get around to sharing that trip report on the forum.
View from the top of the world.

Six years since this trip. One of the most epic fishing trips that I have done. Good company, great fishing, and interesting location. Only setback is we have to travel half way around the world to sample this fishery. Will get back here one day. For me this photo says it all. Florida 2014.

Retail therapy is good.
This rates up there with one of the best sessions fishing I've ever had. Super clear water. It doesn't look it, but water is over a meter deep. Absolute glass off. Schools of ultra spooky redfish cruising over the weedbeds. If you couldn't get a 90 foot cast (just short of a full line) 10 feet in front of the fish, you just wern't in the game. Cast too close to the fish, and they would spook. Cast too far from them, and the fly would sink into the weed before the fish got to the fly. The fish could sense the boat 80 feet out, and just kept their social distance. No trophy fish, but what an epic session.
Holes in the water.

Tony you shouldn't show everyone pics of my secret 'Fly box' (bucket)

....... Mind you it was effective at 'Robbies Dock'

as long as I avoided that pesky Pelican under the dock !

they're great weekends Tony - memories of conclaves past....note the Grand Poo-Bah in the foreground presiding over formalities.
