Hi Guys, I am looking for your options as to who is the best Australian Fly Rod manufacturer. I use SAGE but I would rather find an Australian made product of similar quality. Please make as many recommendations as you wish with the pertinent facts regarding the reasons for your statement.
Thank you FreakFly

G'day Steve,

I think you'll need to start a new topic to get more responses, rather than tack onto this old one.

In any case, I don't think there are any mass produced Aussie rods. If "Aussie Made" is important, you'll have to choose a custom rod maker like Hard Core Elements or do it yourself. Even then, all the components are going to come from OS anyway.

You can buy some really good NZ made blanks made by CTS, and if fibreglass is your thing, Swift Fly Fishing (also Kiwis) make Epic blanks and can supply extremely good rod-building kits based on those blanks. (CTS make Swift's blanks, plus their own range of graphite and 'glass blanks.)

Cheers,
Graeme
